Engineer Nelson Henriquez, foreground, and Captain Ryan Leighton, in back, from Riverbank Consolidated Fire Station 26 were in Oakdale on Saturday, April 7 cooking up the chicken for the annual Survivor Brunch as part of the Relay For Life festivities of Oakdale-Riverbank-Escalon-Waterford. The two made sure the chicken was grilled to perfection and helped serve up the brunch to attendees. Several cancer survivors and their caregivers were celebrated at the brunch, hosted at the Oakdale fire station on East G Street. Relay For Life will be May 5 and 6 at the Oakdale High School soccer fields.
