Dixie DiCarlo

Dixie DiCarlo, age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2014 after a brief illness.  Dixie DiCarlo had lived with her son, Joe DiCarlo, for the past 13 years in El Dorado, CA and Rancho Cordova, CA.  Dixie DiCarlo was one of five daughters born to Wade Rickets of Minnesota and Della Hancock of California.  She was born in Bakersfield, CA and graduated from John Brown University in Alabama.  She worked 19 years for the U.S. Postal Service in Riverbank, CA and volunteered in many civic programs such as a troop leader for the Girl Scouts.  Dixie married Joseph DiCarlo of Chicago, IL at Fort Hood, Texas, who preceded her in death in 2001.  They had three children, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Dixie is survived by one son and two daughters.  Joe DiCarlo (with wife Theresa in El Dorado, CA), Diane Stone (with husband Bruce in Corona, CA), and Tonni Davis.

Memorial services were held at the Riverbank Memorial Chapel on  Saturday, November 15, 2014. Burial was at  Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Empire, CA.
