Saturday Fishing Tournament Slated

San Joaquin County Parks and Recreation has 2,000 pounds of trout stocked and ready for catching at Oak Grove Regional Park, with the Bob McMillen Memorial Fishing Tournament set for this Saturday, March 3.

The tournament is presented by the county in cooperation with the Delta Fly Fishers.

Gates open at 6:15 a.m.; register by 10 a.m. and the last weigh-in is at 12:30 p.m.

There is a $5 fishing permit fee and all those 16 and over must also possess a valid California fishing license. There is a five trout limit. The Oak Grove Regional Park also has a $6 vehicle entry fee.

As always, kids under 16 fish free. Competition will be conducted in various age divisions. Come fish for prizes on Saturday, March 3.
