Black Oak Casino Offers Special January Concert
Music 1

Over the past couple of years, Leilani & The Distractions have made quite the name for themselves playing venues up and down the Mother Lode, as well as distant corners of the state. Recent performances have had them showcasing their versions of great tunes from a variety of decades at Sonora’s Emberz, Tap Room, Bourbon Barrel, as well as venues throughout Calaveras County.

On Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, they’ll make their debut appearance at Black Oak Casino’s Willow Creek Lounge, where they will feature their regular lineup, plus special guests, Leo Rosales of the Latin/Jazz classic group, Malo (on timables/percussion), plus Ras Beeken Dan, from Jill and the Giants as well as other popular local groups (on saxophone). Plus, the Attractions (singers/dancers) will join Leilani in making this show a full-on “revue performance.” Admission to the event is free (over 21 only). The first set is at 8 p.m. and the show continues until about 11 p.m.

The “Distractions” lineup includes Leilani Villamor on guitar, vocals, and fancy footwork, Ridge Schneider on drums, Keno Rojas on guitar, and Erich Quinn on bass guitar. The “Attractions” are Abby Castleberry, Suzanne Hennessy, Terra Manthorne, and April Foster.
