Napa Valley was the setting on June 10 as Vincent Joseph Estrada of Oakdale and Abigail Marie Horstman of Orinda exchanged wedding vows.

During a beautiful afternoon in the Napa Valley, Vincent Joseph Estrada of Oakdale wed Abigail Marie Horstman of Orinda. The June 10 ceremony was performed outside under a Jewish “Chuppah,” which was built by the bride’s father.

Vincent, 36, is the son of Richard and Joanne Estrada of Oakdale. He graduated from Oakdale High School (Class of 2005) and California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. He has worked in the Napa Valley’s wine industry since 2010, specializing in importing and exporting.

His brother, Nicholas Estrada, served as best man.

Abigail, 29, is the daughter of William and Nancy Horstman of Orinda. She graduated from the University of California Davis, and she is a winemaker in the Napa Valley. Her brother, David Horstman, presided over the ceremony.

Her best friend, Ariel Cohen, served as maid of honor.

The diamond featured in the bride’s wedding ring is a family heirloom, and the setting was custom designed for her. A custom ring also was created for the groom.

The wedding party included bridesmaids and groomsmen from across California, including many college friends. As a fun twist, the entire bridal party wore Nike Dunk Lows and Air Jordan shoes to the event.

Flowers for the ceremony were provided by Rainer Hoenicke and his Napa family.

Grgich Family Catering of Oakdale prepared the dinner buffet at the bride’s St. Helena winery.

After the meal, the newlyweds were lifted atop chairs while the 100-plus guests danced the traditional Jewish hora in circles around them. Dancing and festivities continued for several hours, as family members and friends celebrated the couple’s union.

A brief “minimoon” trip to the Sierras followed the wedding. The couple is planning a belated honeymoon next year to Palermo, Sicily, the ancestral home for a branch of the groom’s family.

The couple now resides in a Napa house they purchased together.
