Officials at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds have issued a notice that they are canceling all April events at the Turlock venue.

California Governor Gavin Newsom issued a statewide order on March 19 for all residents to ‘stay at home’ amid a coronavirus outbreak.

With the recent mandate by the Governor, the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds officials have made a cautionary step in canceling all April events at the Fairgrounds.

The following events have been canceled at the Fairgrounds: Turlock Holistic Expo, April 4; Central Valley Jersey Breeders Show, April 4; Alegria Family Circus, April 9-13; Sintral Valley Derby Girls Derby, April 11; Portuguese Festival, April 18; Stanislaus Farm Bureau, April 23; Stanislaus Holstein Show, April 20-25; Santa Clara Dog Show, April 25-26.20

“In the best interest of our community and wanting everyone to be safe, it was best that we canceled all April events,” said Matt Cranford, chief executive officer for the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds. “We are looking forward to when we can come out and enjoy our summer, especially the Fair.”
