Fun-Filled Falables Staged At Modesto Junior College
MJC PIX

The Modesto Junior College Theater Department presents “Aesop’s Falables” – a fun filled show suitable for the whole family, written by Ed Graczyk and directed by MJC Theatre Professor Lynette Borrelli-Glidewell. Performances are Fridays, March 31 and April 7 at 7 p.m., and Saturdays, April 1 and April 8 at 2 p.m. in the Main Auditorium of the Performing and Media Arts Center on East Campus, 435 College Ave., Modesto.

The Falables are loosely based on a collection of famous fables. Sir Wilfred Wolf claims he has been wrongfully stereotyped by Aesop as the bad guy ... always the bad guy. Thus, the play strives to overturn those fables, drawing new morals from them and meeting a kooky bunch of animals along the way. The high energy performance provides an abundance of zany entertainment for the entire family.

The cast includes: Jack in the Box, Chrissy Ford; Big Bad Wolf, Zeke Zuniga; Nurse Stork, Jacob Sweeten; Claude Crow, Tanner Honor; Mathilda Mouse, Doyle Smith; Mr. Grasshopper, Tristan Spaulding; Thadius Tortious, Jordan Sanchez; Amelia Eagle, Erica DeHart.

Also, Horace T. Hare, Sam Robinson; Mod Mouse, Trey Augustus; Miss Ant, Sheressa Jackson; Child Ant, Kai Jackson; Sadie Sheep, Jayln Boyd; Shirley Sheep, Sierra Van Etten; Sophie Sheep, Daisy Oliveira; Cecelia Sheep, Sara Sterling; Grandma Baa Baa Sheep, Esther Fierros.

Tickets are $11 general admission, $9 for students and seniors, and $6 for children under 12 years of age.
