La Grange Breakfast Sunday

The Odd Fellows of Lafayette Historical Lodge #65 remind you of their monthly breakfast, always on the second Sunday at the IOOF Hall in downtown La Grange. This month Sunday, Oct. 8 is the date to treat your family to a hearty breakfast. From 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. they’ll be serving biscuits and gravy, ham and cheese omelets, sausage, and all you can eat pancakes. Served with complimentary coffee and orange juice and the breakfast cost is just $6 for adults; ages 6 to 12 are $3 each, 5 and under eat for free.

Fall is here and it’s a great time to visit La Grange, where gold was found in 1848 on the banks of the Tuolumne River. The Odd Fellows Hall is the perfect start for a walking tour of the town. On the main street you’ll find historic La Grange buildings, the Saloon, Hotel, and Market. Up the hill from the hotel you’ll find the St. Louis Mission and the Old La Grange Schoolhouse. Be sure to visit the Museum at the east end of town, open Sundays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Before you leave La Grange go down to the one-lane bridge for a view of the Tuolumne River itself.
