International Education Student Exchange Program (Inter-Ed), a non-profit high school organization, is currently looking for Local Coordinators.
Some of the duties of the Local Coordinators include: Find and interview potential host families for incoming high school students, ages 15- to 17-years-old; contact local high schools for their acceptance of the students; contact both host families and students on a monthly basis; hold both host family and student orientations.
Local coordinators also plan activities for the host families and their students throughout the school year.
Inter-Ed is also looking for volunteer host families for high school students participating in its high school cultural exchange program.
Inter-Ed is the leading non-profit sponsor of J-1 exchange students and has been working with volunteer host families for international students for over 20 years. Inter-Ed places students from many countries for semester-long and year-long academic programs.
Students who participate in the Inter-Ed program have their own spending money, are fully insured, and attend a local high school in order to learn more about the American culture, make friends, participate in sports, student activities, volunteer in the local community, and most of all, become a lasting member of your family and community.
Anyone interested in either becoming a Local Coordinator or Host Family or to get more information, contact International Education Student Exchange Program (Inter-Ed) by calling 208-358-4480 or 209-422-6145 or by e-mail, arielpdog1@comcast.net.
