The West Side Theatre in Newman has a series of shows ready to take the stage in September, ranging from country music to a Pink Floyd tribute. The theatre is at 1331 Main St., doors open at 7 p.m. for each event and the music starts at 8 p.m.
First up on Saturday, Sept. 7 is Joni Morris, with a tribute to the music of Patsy Cline. Tickets are $20 general admission, $25 reserved section with students admitted for half price.
Joni Morris has been critically acclaimed as the “most authentic Patsy Cline music tribute artist ever known” and her 25 year career as a nationally touring vocalist and entertainer proves her excellence.
She has performed in over 1000 venues in almost every state, including Alaska and Hawaii. Morris returns after a three-year absence from the West Side Theatre.
On Friday, Sept. 14, the House Of Floyd Pink Floyd Tribute takes the stage with $20 general admission tickets, $25 for reserved section and students admitted half price.
House of Floyd is San Francisco’s immersive Pink Floyd tribute band. House of Floyd focuses on the adventurous live arrangements and sonic explorations of their namesake. Complete with a laser light show and spot on vocals and musicianship the band always delivers a quality show. The band will be making its 10th appearance at the West Side Theatre.
Rounding out the month will be the DonGato Latin Band on Friday, Sept. 21 with $15 general admission tickets, $20 reserved section and students admitted for half price.
DonGato Latin Band is a group of seasoned musicians that plays sophisticated Latin music blended with Cuban, Salsa and smooth Latin Jazz with a dash of a tropical feel. The band also incorporates American classics into a Latin beat format.
