Sierra Rep Welcomes Audiences Back For Performances

A trio of shows is on the schedule for the 2021 season at Sierra Repertory Theatre and tickets are now on sale.

Planned at the East Sonora Theatre venue are ‘Shrek The Musical’ and ‘Murder On The Orient Express’, while the Fallon House in Columbia will be the site for ‘Meet Me In St. Louis’, a live radio play.

Shrek The Musical opens on Thursday, Sept. 2 and runs through Sunday, Oct. 3.

The show is two hours with intermission and is open to all ages, six and older. There is some strobe lighting as part of the show as well as a non-toxic haze effect in some scenes. Various show times, Wednesdays through Sundays. The musical is based on the theatrical movie, Shrek.

With an opening on Thursday, Oct. 28, Murder On The Orient Express, based on the Agatha Christie novel, runs through Sunday, Nov. 28, with shows Wednesday through Sunday.

This show is two hours with intermission and is intended for ages 12 and older due to the adult-themed content. There is also strobe lighting and non-toxic haze effects.

Opening on Thursday, Nov. 18, and considered a holiday classic, Meet Me in St. Louis will be staged at the Fallon House Theatre in Columbia and runs through Sunday, Dec. 19.

The play is put on as a live 1940s radio broadcast and the show runs two hours with intermission, open to all ages six and over.

SRT will not sell Season Tickets for its 2021 Homecoming Season but said Season Tickets will return for its 2022 Season, which will be announced later this year.
