With back-to-back Trans-Valley League wins this week, the varsity soccer Bruins kept pace in the competitive race for the postseason, defeating Ripon Christian and Modesto Christian.

In Tuesday's game on the home field, the Bruins upended the visiting Crusaders of Modesto Christian, shutting them out 9-0. The outcome would have been even more lopsided, but the MC goalie did have several outstanding saves.

Netting the goals for Riverbank were Gerardo Ramirez with three, Daniel Garcia and Ricardo Vigil with two each, and one apiece from Ramiro Calderon and Vicente Vigil. Notching assists were Ramiro Calderon, Vicente Vigil, Jaime Vigil and Mario Hernandez.

The Bruins also rotated goalkeepers, using three of them in the contest. Getting one save each were Juan Luna, Hugo Calderon and Ramiro Calderon.
