Stanislaus County officials are looking for more information on what caused interruptions to 911 calls over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

The intermittent interruptions were reportedly caused by an outage on AT&T Phone Company end, but authorities are seeking more specifics.

The outage started at 5:26 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5 and lasted until 6:33 a.m. Monday, Sept. 6. It was for all of Stanislaus County and parts of San Joaquin and Merced counties and included all cellular and landlines.

An emergency notice went out advising residents of the situation and directing them to text 911 or for the case of towns like Turlock and Ceres, to contact the police departments’' dispatch lines directly.
