A bright spot following the weekend of inundating rainstorms came late Monday afternoon this week. As the last little sprinkles trickled down over Riverbank, the light from the settling sun in the west created a touch of rainbow in the eastern skies. The heavy downpours of rain over the last weekend also left behind full drainage basins in neighborhoods around Riverbank. By Monday afternoon, most of the sprinkles had passed, with water where empty depressions are usually, near playgrounds, some of which enticed geese to settle in for a spell.
