Councilmember Kathy Anaya has resigned from the Riverbank City Council and, due to the shortness of the remaining term that expires in November, the council has decided to fill the vacancy by appointment.
Persons interested in serving on the council must be a Riverbank registered voter and resident and able to attend a minimum of two meetings per month. Currently the council meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in chambers located at 6707 Third St. Special meetings and workshops or emergency meetings may be called at any time.
