Some Riverbank churches are planning special services for Christmas.
The United Methodist Church, for example, is planning a candlelight service with carols for today, Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 7 p.m. Residents of all denominations are welcome, whatever their faith.
St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church is scheduling a children's Mass with a dramatic presentation on the Nativity story for 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Friday, Dec. 24.
That same evening, there will also be a service in Spanish at 9 p.m. and another in English at 11 p.m.
For Christmas Day, the services will be in English at 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and in Spanish at 9 a.m. and noon.
