Following the opening of school on Aug. 10, parents are invited to attend Back to School Nights, meet the teachers and learn what is in store for their child and themselves during the coming school year.
Today, Wednesday, Aug. 19, Riverbank Language Academy located on the Rio Altura School campus is scheduled to welcome parents to its classrooms besides offering membership to its Parents Teachers Association and other campus groups. Parents are invited to gather in the cafeteria from 6 p.m. to about 6:15 p.m., then disperse to classrooms to talk with teachers, said school secretary Midory Cruz.
On Thursday, Aug. 20, Riverbank High and Adelante High, the continuation school, will conduct Back to School events at the RHS campus from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Parents may visit classrooms and students have a chance to sign up for various school clubs and organizations.
Cardozo Middle School held its Back to School event on Aug. 6 even before regular school opened. Rio Altura School and Mesa Verde's events were conducted on Aug. 13 and California Avenue plus Mesa Verde's third grade were slated to host parents yesterday, Tuesday, Aug. 18.
