Riverbank High School (RHS) is celebrating its 2022 Winter Homecoming with a “Bruin Takeover” this week. The festivities will include lunch time activities, a rally, and spirted dress up days. The RHS varsity basketball team will hit the home court on Friday at 7 p.m. against Ripon High School and at halftime the King and Queen will be crowned.
The winter homecoming Royalty candidates are as follows: the Queen candidates are Monica Hernandez, Valeria Valenzuela, Kayci Blevins, Cheyenne Torrez, and Clarissa Verduzco. The King candidates are Damian Bolanos, Isaac Estrada, Aaron Loiaza, Anthony Leon, and Juan Reyes.
This past Monday was Croc’n and Rockin with a lunchtime activity of musical chairs and students sporting their Crocs.
“Anything but a Backpack Day” was on Tuesday where students got clever on carrying their supplies and books in anything but a backpack. Leadership Instructor Ray Perez noted that the day was hilarious as students can be creative carrying their items in things like wheelbarrows and strollers. During lunch students enjoyed a game of Ping Pong.
Wednesday, students will sport College gear or wear something showing their future career then enjoy some Limbo for the activity at lunch. Thursday is Disney Day where students can wear anything Disney or red, blue, or black colors.
This Frida, Jan. 28 things are wrapped up with a rally and Color War with seniors wearing black, juniors maroon, sophomores gray, and freshmen wear white to represent school colors and show their school spirit.
RHS continues their school traditions with festivities all week for the Winter Homecoming 2022, bringing the student body together with fun for all.
