Students were recognized recently with a special program on the Adelante High School campus in Riverbank.

English teacher Elizabeth Medeiros explained that the ceremony was designed to honor “students who are leaders on our campus” and demonstrate some of the “Seven Habits of Effective Successful teens.”

It is something hosted on a regular basis on campus.

“We have this ceremony six times within the school year,” Medeiros added of keeping students in the spotlight and recognizing their achievements.

The program also included highlighting some students at the continuation high school who have already met their high school graduation requirements.

As a continuation school, the students attending Adelante are able to work with a more flexible schedule, have smaller class sizes, a better teacher to student ratio and regular academic counseling.

The staff at Adelante includes Ezequiel Ruiz – Principal; Teresa Manriquez – Administrative Assistant; Lesley Fantazia – Counselor; Bree MaGee – Wellness Coach; Teachers Nicklas Lambert, Elizabeth Medeiros, Fred Wood and Mary Lopez; and Iris Ruiz – Campus Monitor.

Adelante is part of the Riverbank Unified School District.
