CHP seeks toy drive donations
Toy Drive

The California Highway Patrol (CHP), Modesto Area, has officially kicked off its annual CHiPs for Kids toy drive.

The CHP is encouraging the public to help make a difference by donating a new unwrapped toy, sporting good, or game. All donations will go to predetermined nonprofits within Stanislaus County.

The CHiPs for Kids program began 37 years ago and could not be done without the help of the community. The CHP goal is to make a difference in a child’s life while maintaining trust within the community and building positive relationships.

Donations can be dropped off at the Modesto Area CHP, 4030 Kiernan Ave., Modesto, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or one of the program community partners: Heritage Ford, 2100 Sisk Road, Modesto; Modesto Area Walgreens locations; Kids Club Modesto, 3440 McHenry Ave., Modesto.

The deadline to donate is Thursday, Dec. 19.
