Christmas Tree Collection This Week In Riverbank
Riverbank Fountain

Is it still Christmas at your house? Is that 2018 Christmas tree still blinking and twinkling?

The City of Riverbank has scheduled tree pick up that ends on Friday, Jan. 18, if you’re ready to dispose of it.

Officials say the trees will be collected by Gilton Solid Waste Management, on customers’ scheduled garbage collection day.

They say the trees need to be in front of the house, even if normal garbage service is in an alley. And the trees need to have all metal stands, lights, and ornaments removed, but wooden stands left on are okay.

Trees should be placed on the street surface next to the curb with a minimum clearance from cars or refuse cans.

Officials also note that if the trees are treated with flocking, paint or fireproofing, it is preferred that they be cut up and put in the refuse can, as they are less recyclable.
