As the sun graced the sky on Saturday morning, April 4, hundreds of auto aficionados flocked to Main Street in Knights Ferry to admire the colorful classic cars that lined the street. From flame adorned sedans to yellow hot rods like the one driven by the area’s favorite rebel John Milner in American Graffiti, there were race cars, muscle cars, revitalized Ford trucks and Chevy classics as far as the eye could see. The Knights Ferry Community Club Car Show has been a staple for many years now with spots quickly filling up as many cruisers were eager to showcase their beautiful cars and trucks.

Known for its cruising culture, the Central Valley is packed full of history that began with hot rods and cruising with friends to local drive-ins so events like this bring all of that magic right back to the forefront. As summer approaches, many more car shows are right around the corner. That includes another one in Knights Ferry, scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at the 50’s Roadhouse.

For many, the classic car shows provide a chance to share stories about restoration projects, marvel over the craftsmanship and enjoy a common love for all things automobile.

There were also opportunities to purchase food and beverages, stroll the street in search of your favorite ride, and meet up with friends and neighbors to visit on a sunny spring Saturday.
