St Patrick’s Altar Society will present its annual Palm Sunday Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 10 from 7 a.m. to noon, located in the hall at St Patrick’s Church at 19399 E. Highway 120, Ripon. Breakfast includes pancakes, linguica, ham, eggs, juice and coffee. All this for $10.00 per person (11 and older) and $5.00 per child (3-10 years). Tickets are sold at the door or advance tickets can be purchased at the St Patrick’s Church office.
Upcoming Quilt Show
Mark the calendar for the weekend of April 9 and 10 and plan to visit the Heart of the Valley Quilt and Textile Arts Show. It will be staged at Modesto Junior College West Campus, ACE Pavilion, in Modesto. Admission is $10 for teens and adults with those 12 and under admitted free. The Modesto Quilt Show is the largest in the Central Valley and this year will feature Alex Anderson, a quilter, teacher, author and fabric designer who also hosts an online quilt show. Also included in the show will be displays of traditional, modern and art quilts, there will be a raffle, handmade items at a boutique, drawing for prize baskets and a variety of vendors. Weight Loss Support
All interested are welcome to join TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) a weight support group that meets in Oakdale every Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Community United Methodist Church on Poplar. This group is open to the public and anyone interested in improving their life by losing weight can contact Audrey for more information, call 209-765-7838.
Widowed Persons Meet
Oakdale Widowed Persons Group invites you to join them the first Saturday of each month for breakfast at 9 a.m. and on the third Tuesday of each month for lunch at 1 p.m.; call for locations. Check out the Golden Agers at the Riverbank Community Center on Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with dancing, socializing, live music and fun for all. All adults 55-plus are welcome.
