Getting ready for their February gathering, members of the Escalon Farmington Community Garden Club are issuing the invitation for all gardening enthusiasts in the area to join them.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 5 at the Escalon United Methodist Church, 2000 Jackson Ave., Escalon. Meeting time is 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Topic for the meeting is ‘Chickens in the Garden: Feathered Friends for Fresh Eggs’ and the guest speaker is always first on the agenda, along with snacks, followed by the business meeting.

There are also drawings for door prizes and all are welcome to attend.
