Members of the Escalon Farmington Community Garden Club are planning for their March meeting.

The session is scheduled for Thursday, March 6 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., being hosted at the Escalon United Methodist Church, 2000 Jackson Ave., Escalon.

Topic will be Container Gardening with a guest speaker from Westurf Nursery presenting the program.

The club will also be having several Ripon Christian High School FFA kids speak about a recent competition they attended on floriculture. There were 10 different categories, and they took first place Nationally in the Team categories, with several placements in the individual categories. Garden Club officials said they want to praise the young FFA members and their Advisors/Teachers on all their accomplishments.

The speakers are first on the agenda, along with snacks and then the business meeting will follow. There are also drawings for door prizes as part of the event.
