The Riverbank City Council recognized the 20th anniversary of the CASA del Rio Family Resource Center in Riverbank at its March 12 regular meeting.

Located at the Riverbank Language Academy, at 2400 Stanislaus Street, the CASA also has advisors for Mesa Verde and California Avenue elementary schools.

Mayor Richard O’Brien read the proclamation to the audience, noting “The CASA del Rio Family Resource Center is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month. Since 1999, their mission has been to ‘improve the well-being of children, families, and the community by providing increased access to resources and services that support health, wellness and education’.”

He added that their commitment to the Riverbank community is being recognized and commended at this “momentous 20 year mark in time.”

Accepting the proclamation at the meeting were CASA Support Specialist Lydia Jimenez, Administrative Assistant Consuelo Magallon, and Program Manager Araceli Zamora.
