The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Oakdale, Knights Ferry and Valley Home; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.
Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, Oct. 4 through Monday, Oct. 10. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.
MONDAY, OCT. 10
1:57 p.m. – E26, E9 and BC5 responded to the report of vehicle accident at Terminal/Claribel. This was a head on collision between two vehicles, one patient, a 39-week pregnant female was transported with injuries to her wrist and ankle.
5:44 p.m. – E26 and BC5 responded to the report of a subject in cardiac arrest in the 3800 block of Kentucky. After nine minutes of high-performance CPR, return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) was achieved. ROSC was lost once but regained again while enroute to Memorial Medical Center.
FRIDAY, OCT. 7
Station 26 trained on rescue air bag systems.
4 p.m. – Crews responded for a car fire that spread into the vegetation at Oakdale rec area.
WEDNESDAY, OCT. 5
Crews rotated through Quarterly EMS Training at Station 22. The training focused on advanced airway skills and cardiac arrest scenarios.
Engine 27, 28, 29 responded to Highway 4 and Milton Road for a vehicle accident. On scene crews had one patient with minor injuries.
