Riverbank Police Calls 10.19.22

Riverbank Police Services had several calls for service this past week including grand theft, burglary, hit and run, and public intoxication.

On Monday, Oct. 17 at 3:23 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the City Corp Yard on a vandalism. This investigation is ongoing.

Deputies were dispatched to the 3200 block of Atchison Road on a burglary on Monday at 8:25 a.m. Suspect/s forced their way in through the front door and stole several speakers and amplifiers.

On Sunday, Oct. 16 at 2 a.m., Deputies observed two subjects passed out in a vehicle in front of a residence. Ashton Mourer, (33), and Jonathan Veldstera, (35), were detained and found to have multiple felony warrants. They were booked into county jail.  

During the afternoon on Sunday at 1:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Heartland Drive and Squire Wells Way on a property damage hit and run. The investigation is ongoing.

At 1:41 p.m. on Sunday, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Oakdale Road and Morrill Road on a non-injury vehicle accident.

Deputies were dispatched to the 6500 block of Second Street on a drunk person in public at 4:07 p.m. on Sunday. Danielle Martinez, (28), was found outside her residence exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. She refused to stay in her residence and therefore was arrested for public intoxication.

At 4:11 p.m. on Sunday, deputies were dispatched to the 2200 block of Claribel Road on a non-injury hit and run accident. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputies were dispatched to a road rage incident that started at Claribel Road and Squire Wells Way on Sunday at 4:14 p.m. Shane Gorne Monroe threatened to shoot the victim during a road rage incident.  Monroe was stopped on Highway 99 and arrested for terrorist threats.

On Saturday, Oct. 15 at 5 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a residential burglary in the 5600 block of Savage Avenue. Through investigative leads, the suspects were located at the Chevron and arrested. The victim’s property was returned and Aaron Hegwood, 26, was arrested for burglary.

On Friday, Oct. 14 at 1:30 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a grand theft at Kohls.

On Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8:40 a.m., deputies located Preston Meisner, 40, and Jessica Stephens, 35, driving near Patterson Road and Terminal Avenue. Both subjects were wanted for an assault from the day before. Both were booked at county jail.

Deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision with minor injuries at the intersection of Patterson Road and Jackson Avenue on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

At 11:50 p.m. on Thursday night, deputies responded to a family fight in the 6100 block of Roselle Avenue. Ethel Austin, 40, was arrested for felony domestic violence.

On Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 a.m., deputies served a search warrant for an illegal indoor marijuana grow in the 7000 block of Burneyville Road.

At 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, with injuries, at the intersection of Claus Road and Kentucky Avenue.

On Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a mentally disturbed person at the River View Garden Apartments.

During the afternoon on Wednesday at 1:20 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a family fight at the intersection of Fifth Street and Atchison Street.

At 3 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to the report of a grand theft at the Home Depot.

Deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision with minor injuries at the intersection of Oakdale Road and Claribel Road on Wednesday at 4:40 p.m.

On Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7:53 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Topeka Street and Estelle Avenue on a non-injury accident.

Deputies were dispatched to the 3600 block of Santa Fe Street on a report of a missing juvenile that had been located on Tuesday at 11:15 a.m.  When they contacted the juvenile, she physically assaulted both deputies. As she was being placed in the back of the patrol vehicle she continued to kick at the deputies. She was arrested and transported to be booked into Juvenile Hall.

During the afternoon on Tuesday at 4:28 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Firethorn Drive on a possible sexual assault.
