Deputies with the Riverbank Police Services handled a wide range of calls for service during a very busy first week of May.

On Sunday, May 8 at 2:15 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a security check at the River View Garden Apartments. Neighbors heard a female yelling for help and a physical fight. A 30-year-old man was arrested for violation of a court order and violation of PRCS (Post Release Community Supervision).

During the morning on Sunday at 10:53 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 3400 block of Topeka Street for the report of a stolen vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to the report of an assault in the 3900 block of Sierra Street on Sunday at 7:13 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.

On Saturday, May 7 at 3:50 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a battery in the 3100 block of Stanislaus Street. Two friends became intoxicated and were involved in a physical fight.

Later that morning on Saturday at 8:40 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a hit and run that was property damage only at the intersection of Patterson Road and Callander Avenue.

At 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to the report of a battery in the 3400 block of Santa Fe Street.

Saturday at 4:30 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a grand theft in progress in the 5700 block of Prince Philip Way. Three suspects in a white vehicle stole the victim’s catalytic converter from his vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

At 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to the report of a battery incident.

On Friday, May 6 at 12 a.m., deputies responded to the report of squatters in the Ulta parking lot. Three subjects were trying to set up camp. At 1 a.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the report of a family fight at Quail Meadows mobile home park.

On Friday morning at 8:30 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a grand theft in the 5700 block of Rose Hill Court. The victim’s catalytic converter was stolen overnight. At 8:48 a.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the report of a family fight at the Quail Meadows mobile home park.

Deputies responded to the report of a family fight in the 2700 block of Ward Avenue on Friday at 1:20 p.m. A battery report was taken.

Later Friday at 3:45 p.m., deputies conducted a vehicle stop at the intersection of Greenoaks Drive and Aspen Lane. A 40-year-old man was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

Deputies responded to the report of an assault at Rais Liquors on Friday at 5:45 p.m. According to the report, a man identified as Jesus Lopez, 41, entered the liquor store, destroyed a cash register and knocked out an employee. Lopez fled and was found shortly after. He was arrested and booked for felony battery and felony vandalism.

On Friday at 8:55 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a theft at the Gamestop.

Deputies responded to the report of a traffic collision, property damage only, at the intersection of Matthew Lane and California Avenue on Friday at 10:10 p.m.

On Thursday, May 5 at 5 p.m., deputies responded to the report of a family fight in the 6100 block of Claus Road.

On Wednesday, May 4 at 12 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a family fight in the 3800 block of Texas Avenue. During the morning on Wednesday at 8:10 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a battery in the 2700 block of Topeka Street.

On Wednesday afternoon at 1:45 p.m., deputies assisted the Airship in tracking a subject who had driven to Riverbank from downtown Modesto on a dirt bike with no helmet. Later that afternoon at 5p.m., deputies stopped a driver for seatbelt violation near Jackson Avenue and Parsley Lane. The driver, a 29-year-old woman, showed objective symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested for DUI.

At 6:17 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies arrested Tammy Dobbins on Jackson Avenue for a prior felony warrant.

Deputies stopped a vehicle near Patterson Road and Jackson Avenue for traffic violations on Wednesday at 10:20 p.m. The driver was cited for providing a false name to law enforcement and driving without having a driver’s license.

On Wednesday night at 8 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Terminal Avenue and Kentucky Avenue for several vehicles doing burnouts in a side show. Deputies witnessed one vehicle participating in dangerous, illegal reckless driving near Terminal Avenue and Virginia Avenue. The driver, a 30-year-old man, was cited for reckless driving and his vehicle was seized for 30 days after a judge signed a warrant.

Deputies stopped a vehicle near Patterson Road and Third Street for vehicle code violations on Wednesday evening. The driver, a 50-year-old man, was arrested for an outstanding DUI warrant.
