Credit card fraud, identity theft, and collisions were a few calls for service that Riverbank Police Services deputies responded to over the past week.

On Saturday, June 4 at 8:40 a.m., deputies stopped a subject identified as Christopher Nunes, 34, for panhandling in the Crossroads shopping center. Nunes was found to be on probation and had three warrants for his arrest. Fentanyl, pepper spray and lock picking tools were located on his person. Nunes was booked at county jail for the above charges.

At 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to the report of credit card fraud in the 2800 block of Stanislaus Street.

Deputies were dispatched to Oak Valley Hospital on a battery that occurred on Ward Avenue on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The victim refused to speak with the deputies when they arrived on scene.

On Friday, June 3 at 9 a.m., deputies responded to the report of identity theft in the 2700 block of Topeka Street.

At 11:20 a.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the report of identity theft in the 2900 block of Patterson Road.

Deputies responded to the report of a found child at the Quail Meadows Mobile Home Park on Friday at 11:30 a.m. The child was returned to the family.

At 1 p.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the report of credit card fraud in the 6500 block of Eighth Street.

Deputies located a 35-year-old man riding his bicycle near the intersection of Patterson Road and Palmer Avenue on Friday at 3 p.m. The man was wanted for several warrants. He was cited out at the scene.

On Thursday, June 2 at 6:20 a.m., deputies responded to the report of annoying or harassing phone calls in the 3700 block of Patterson Road.

At 10 a.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to the report of credit card fraud in the 3900 block of Patterson Road.

During the afternoon on Thursday at 12:45 p.m., deputies responded to the report of identity theft in the 3700 block of Iowa Avenue.

Deputies responded to the report of a vehicle collision, property damage only, at the intersection of Patterson Road and Jackson Avenue on Thursday at 12:45 p.m.

At 6 p.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to the report of a hit and run traffic collision, property damage only, in the McDonalds parking lot.

At approximately 11:01 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, deputies were dispatched to Ward Avenue and Roselle Avenue on a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.

On Monday, May 30 at 4:32 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 3200 block of Sierra Street on a man shooting off a gun in his backyard. Several eyewitnesses gave a description of the suspect. Upon arrival, deputies located a man matching the description in the backyard to the residence described. He was ordered to come out and taken into custody. After a brief investigation, the 38-year-old man was arrested for discharging a firearm and several other charges. The firearm was also recovered and taken for safe keeping.

At 4:50 p.m. on Monday, deputies were dispatched to Patterson Road and Oakdale Road on a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.
