Deputies in the city of Riverbank answered calls for service this past week that included, among others, driving under the influence, grand theft, and robbery.

On Sunday, Sept. 18 at 10 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle near Roselle Avenue and Patterson Road after receiving reports of the vehicle swerving all over the roadway. The driver, a 27-year-old man, was arrested for DUI.

On Saturday, Sept. 17 at 7:48 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Memorial Medical Center for a juvenile brought in by ambulance with no identification and possibly from a group home in Riverbank. The juvenile was reported missing out of Lathrop, they were notified, and the juvenile was removed from the missing persons system.

Deputies were dispatched to the 3500 block of Patterson Road for a family fight on Saturday at 9:32 a.m. with one arrest reported.

On Friday, Sept. 16 at 12:54 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a petty theft in the 5400 block of Homewood Way. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputies were dispatched to assist a Stanislaus County D.A. Investigator with serving an arrest warrant on Friday at 4:18 p.m. A 47-year-old was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Sheriff Detention Center.

On Thursday, Sept. 15 at 8:06 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle parked on Turpin Avenue overnight. A 25-year-old man was found inside the vehicle, he was in possession of pepper spray in violation of his probation terms. He was transported to the Stanislaus Sheriff Detention Center.

At 9:14 a.m. on Thursday, deputies were dispatched to a report of a stolen vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputies were dispatched to a possible child abuse on Thursday at 10:49 a.m.; a 22-year-old was subsequently arrested and transported to the Stanislaus Sheriff Detention Center.

During the afternoon on Thursday at 4:09 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a robbery at Save Mart on Claribel Road. Suspect Michael Whitelaw, 34, was positively identified as the responsible. A warrant was issued for his arrest. The investigation is ongoing.

At 8 p.m. on Thursday, deputies were dispatched to a stolen vehicle recovery. The investigation is ongoing.

On Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 3:51 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a possible break in of a residence. A 30-year-old man was located and taken into custody for an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Stanislaus Sheriff Detention Center.

On Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 11:53 p.m., deputies arrested a 21-year-old man for two outstanding warrants after he was stopped for riding his bicycle without proper lighting.
