Deputies Answer Several Calls For Service

Riverbank Police Services had a variety of calls for service this past week including warrants, traffic violations and disturbance incidents.

Also, the Mounted Horse patrols will continue in the Crossroads Shopping Center through Christmas week. Their presence continues to be a deterrent for crime and provides positive interaction with the community, noted the authorities.

Around midnight on Sunday, Dec. 13, deputies were dispatched to a family disturbance in the 6000 block of Tennessee Avenue. After they completed their investigation, a 52-year-old was arrested in connection with the incident.

Deputies responded to the area of Oakdale and Patterson Roads during the early morning hours on Saturday, Dec. 12 on the report of a female jumping into traffic. Deputies located an adult female and determined she was a danger to herself. She was placed on a hold for a mental health evaluation.

On Saturday evening, deputies stopped a vehicle for traffic violations in the 2600 block of Patterson Road. Both the driver, identified as 39-year-old Sye Tefertiller, and 32-year-old passenger, Mary Gress, were arrested for felony warrants.

Deputies were dispatched to the O’Brien’s Market on the report of someone causing a disturbance around noon on Friday, Dec. 11. They stopped the person who was identified as a 21-year-old man. He was verbally confrontational with deputies and a records check showed he had a warrant for his arrest, and was subsequently arrested without incident.

On Friday afternoon, deputies were dispatched to the Home Depot for a shoplifter. Deputies arrested a 42-year-old man after they learned he took items from the business without paying.

Deputies arrested a 31-year-old man in the 7000 block of Kingsmill Court for multiple warrants on Thursday, Dec. 10 in the afternoon. During the mid-afternoon on Thursday, deputies arrested a 38-year-old woman in the 6100 block Roselle Avenue as she had a warrant for assault with a deadly weapon.

Close to midnight on Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to a fight in the 2600 block of Stanislaus Street. They arrested a 31-year-old woman for a prior warrant in connection with an incident that occurred the day prior.

During the morning on Tuesday, Dec. 8, deputies stopped a vehicle for vehicle code violations near Seventh Street and Sierra Street. A records check showed the driver, identified as Adam Loux, 38, to be a parolee at large. Loux was arrested for the parole violation, being a felon in possession of a stun gun, and for illegal paraphernalia.

On Tuesday evening, deputies were dispatched to the 3700 block of Iowa Avenue for a disturbance and arrested a 26-year-old man for domestic battery, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, and battery.
