Deputies Investigating Kohl's Robbery

One arrest was made in connection with a Jan. 10 robbery in Riverbank, and authorities are on the lookout for more suspects.

According to the police report, just before 7 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 10, three suspects walked into the Kohl's Department Store in Riverbank. The three suspects stole over $400 worth of undisclosed merchandise and assaulted a store employee as they were leaving, when the employee tried to stop them. The three suspects were seen leaving the business parking lot in a white early 2000 Hyundai. The vehicle was found a short time later by deputies in the 1300 block of Gargotto Court in Modesto.

One of the suspects, 49-year-old Benjamin Ramos of Modesto, was taken into custody. Deputies searched for the two other suspects, but they were not located. Ramos was arrested for robbery and a violation of probation. The store employee that was assaulted did not need medical attention.

Riverbank Police Services detectives are looking for a pregnant black female adult in her late 20s and a Hispanic male adult in his 30s. He was described as being 6 feet tall and having a thin build.
