Riverbank citizens who were hungry for some pepperoni or extra cheese this week in downtown were having to hang on to their appetites for a day or two. The Pizza Plus was to be closed most of the week while moving to its new location.

For those worrying about where to find their favorite pie, they won’t have to look too far. They’re just moving across the street, to the location of the former Landon’s Men’s Wear, at 3327 Santa Fe. It’s right next door to Designs by Karen, the florist shop.

They were planning on being closed for most of this week, with a ‘soft’ opening scheduled on Friday, April 12.

They’re expecting to host a bigger, grand opening celebration at the new location at a later date.

Construction plans indicated the new location would feature a larger area for seating and include a separate game room. It should accommodate group events much easier, organizations such as Bruins Boosters and the like. In the past, reunion committees and campaign celebrations were just a few of the groups to have used Pizza Plus.
