Education, Enforcement Efforts By Riverbank Deputies

Riverbank Police Services deputies have been seeing an increase of activity along Rivercove. They are educating residents and visitors of the closure for riparian habitat restoration in that area.

Other activities are also being scrutinized and dealt with as well.

“We continue to be proactive in enforcement on a group of bicycle riders around town that fail to follow the rules of the road as they create traffic hazards and public safety issues,” noted authorities.

Officials reported that there has been a noticeable increase in illegal firework activity around the City. Deputies are taking enforcement action as they locate those responsible.

Some of the other issues deputies handled last week include warrant arrests and public intoxication. Following are some of the specifics regarding calls for service.

On Sunday, April 18, deputies responded to the 2700 block of Morrill Road on a domestic incident and subsequently arrested a 33-year-old woman in connection with the incident.

Late in the evening on Saturday, April 17, deputies stopped a 51-year-old man at Pioneer Park as he was in the park after hours. He was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

During the early morning hours on Friday, April 16, our Community Resource Deputy located a 34-year-old man slumped over the steering wheel in his vehicle near Jackson and Ward avenues. He was found to be wanted out of Stockton for a robbery and was arrested without incident.

On the morning of Thursday, April 15, the Community Resource Deputy stopped a subject driving near Atchison and Fourth streets, driving without a valid driver’s license. The 20-year-old was subsequently arrested after being found to be in illegal possession of a large amount of Xanax and Oxycodone pills.

Late in the evening on Thursday, deputies arrested a 54-year-old man on Royal Links Drive for a previous warrant for domestic violence, criminal threats, and assault.

Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 3700 block of California Street on Wednesday, April 14; one suspect is currently wanted for criminal threats and assault.

On Wednesday evening, deputies located a suspicious vehicle in the 6000 block of Oak Willow Lane. Two of the occupants, a 31-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, were arrested for outstanding warrants.

Just after midnight on Wednesday, deputies stopped a subject near Atchison and Eighth streets. He was arrested for being under the influence of drugs and an outstanding warrant.

Detectives completed follow up on a case involving possession of child pornography. A juvenile was arrested; the case is ongoing.
