Fall Back On Saturday Night
DST

The region will see an end to Daylight Saving Time, DST, this weekend. Clocks will ‘fall back’ one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, Nov. 3 – residents are reminded to set their clocks back before going to bed on Saturday night.

That will mean a return to Pacific Standard Time, which sees the mornings getting brighter earlier and the sun setting one hour earlier, accounting for early darkness during the winter months.

This year, Daylight Saving Time began on March 10, when we had the opportunity to ‘spring ahead’ and create longer hours of daylight for spring and summer.

The return to standard time does come with a brief bonus; an extra hour of sleep on Saturday night.
