The Wednesday evening Family Fun Night sessions in Riverbank have concluded a three-week run.

July 25 wrapped up the festivities at Community Center Park, with music, food, community and business exhibitors and recreation activities on hand. Guitarist and singer Stevie Vasquez of Keyes returned to entertain attendees with his unique brand of original acoustic music.

Lorina’s Edible Garden mobile facility from Escalon was on hand to help patrons with their herbal and vegetable plantings, as well as dried spice blends, succulents for sale, lotions, soaps and lip balms.

The Riverbank Rotary Club had a booth from which they were distributing water to attendees, as well as information about the club and its activities.

The city rec department maintained several booths, including a non-alcoholic ‘Sip-n-Paint’ and a bounce house-style water slide that proved popular with the youngsters in the 100-plus degree heat of the afternoon/evening.

Those above average temperatures this month have proven to be difficult for families who wanted to come out to the Fun Nights, keeping attendance a bit on the low side, according to Recreation Department Supervisor Julia Petit.
