A number of organizations are coming together to put on a special Naloxone (Narcan) Community Education Training event, “Fighting Fentanyl Together” on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
Scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 pm., the meeting will be hosted at One Church Riverbank, 6101 Oakdale Road.
It’s a town-hall style event to discuss the fentanyl epidemic and its impact on the Riverbank community. Those attending can also get free Naloxone Narcan nasal spray, which can save a life in the event of a fentanyl overdose.
All community members are encouraged to join Riverbank Leadership and the Stanislaus County Opioid Safety Coalition for this in-depth discussion. Attendees will hear from expert speakers about the dangers of fentanyl and how the community can work together to protect families.
The free event is open to the public and is a cooperative effort of Stanislaus County Opioid Safety Coalition, Love Riverbank, the City of Riverbank, and Stanislaus County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, BHRS.
