Members of the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District Board will gather for their regular August board meeting on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 6 p.m., at the Station 26 meeting room in Riverbank.

Officials said the meeting will be held in accordance with the executive order issued by Governor Gavin Newsom on March 17 and will be held via teleconference and will not be physically open to the public.

Items on the agenda include employee recognition for years of service as well as promotion announcements.

Public comment on items not posted on the agenda will be taken and those wishing to offer comment have three minutes to do so; comments will be accepted via teleconference.

Items also on the agenda for discussion are to include continued talks regarding the Station 23 closure and, according to fire officials, very early discussions regarding contract for services with Modesto Fire which may include a financial overview.
