Crews hiked in the steep terrain for approximately one mile to find the patient at the water’s edge on a rock outcropping. Cal Fire was requested to assist with the extraction due to the location of the patient. Cal Fire Helicopter 404 responded, contacted MFD crews, and inserted a rescuer via hoist. Patient was hoisted into the helicopter and transported to Army Corp Facility where Engine 27 had secured a landing zone. Patient was then transferred to Oak Valley Ambulance for ground transport to the hospital.

3:53 p.m. – Modesto Engine 27, Engine 30 and Battalion 5 responded for reports of a motorcycle accident on Highway 4 east of Milton Road.
