Central Valley Community Resources (CVCR) is available for assistance with the Non-Filers tool. The deadline has been extended until Nov. 21 for those that do not usually file a tax return to use the free tool to receive their Economic Impact Payment. The free Non-Filers tool is designed for eligible people who are not normally required to file a tax return. According to the IRS this usually includes people with incomes below $24,400 for married couples who file jointly or below $12,200 for single individuals. Also for couples and people that are experiencing homelessness, low-income workers, people with no income, non-dependent students, the unbanked and others. People can qualify for a payment even if they do not have earned income or work.

Married couples filing jointly may qualify to receive a $2400 payment and others should receive $1200 with an additional $500 for each qualifying child.

For those who are not required to file a tax return the process is simple and only takes a few minutes. Visit IRS.gov and click on “Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here.” The site is secure and the information entered will be safe.
