The Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority (StanRTA) has announced that all Ride the S services will be free from March 15 through 21, 2026 in celebration of Go Green Week. In partnership with StanRTA, Turlock Transit will also be offering free rides on all its services during Go Green Week.

This week-long initiative promotes sustainable transportation choices throughout Stanislaus County, encouraging residents to walk, bike, carpool, or ride public transit.

Go Green Week is a great opportunity for everyone in the community to experience the benefits of public transit, officials said. By offering free rides, StanRTA and Turlock Transit aim to make it easy for both new and returning riders to help reduce emissions and build a cleaner, greener Stanislaus County.

From March 15 through 21, hop on any Ride the S or Turlock Transit bus — no fares, tickets, or passes required. It’s an easy, hassle-free way to contribute to cleaner air and less traffic congestion across the region.
