Construction has begun on yet another eatery option in the Crossroads West Shopping Center in Riverbank.

During the cloudy, rainy Sunday afternoon, the shell of the new building could be seen along Claribel Road, with signs advertising that they’re hiring, in anticipation of the soon-to-be-completed restaurant.

Raising Cane’s is a fast-food restaurant chain that serves chicken fingers, fries, and other sides. The restaurant is known for its “craveable chicken fingers” and its famous Cane’s sauce.

It was founded in 1996, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and reportedly is named after the founder’s dog, a yellow Labrador named Raising Cane. According to company information, the most popular meal they serve is a combination which includes chicken fingers, fries, Cane’s sauce, Texas Toast, and coleslaw.

When open, it will be one more choice available to residents for dining, joining a long list of eateries already operational in the Crossroads.
