Investigation Focuses On School Graffiti
Stan. Co. Sheriffs

Deputies with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office and Riverbank Police Services were on scene at Riverbank High School to assist school staff with a suspicious circumstances call.

On Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, at 9:30 a.m., authorities received notification from the school principal asking them to help investigate graffiti left on a bathroom wall. The school is in the 6200 block of Claus Road in Riverbank.

Out of an abundance of caution, the school was placed in a temporary lockdown while law enforcement responded to the scene on Monday morning to assist school staff with an administrative safety security sweep.

Nothing unusual or out of the ordinary had been located during the initial sweep.

Look for additional information as it becomes available from authorities and the school district.
