Lights On Afterschool Celebration
RUSD LOGO

The national day for Lights On Afterschool is Thursday, Oct. 25. This year, Project A.C.T.I.O.N. in Riverbank will be celebrating Lights On at Castleberg Park to promote healthy living. Students can participate in outdoor games, activities and refreshments. Each program site has a scheduled day to go to the park.

On Monday, Oct. 22 Mesa Verde Elementary students will be at Castleberg; on Wednesday, Oct. 24 Riverbank Language Academy; on Thursday, Oct. 25 Cardozo Middle School; and on Friday, Oct. 26 California Avenue Elementary students will be at the park. Hours are from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. for each site; parents must pick up their children at the park.

Parents and the community members are welcome to attend and help with the activities. If interested in helping, call C.A.S.A at 209-869-0468 and ask to speak with a program advisor. There will not be information booths set up this year. Riverbank High School students may also sign-up to volunteer to earn community service hours.
