Adoption Day At Petco
butch
Butch, a handsome nine-month-old American Bulldog puppy, is an adoptable pet at Oakdale Animal Shelter. Oakdale Shelter Pet Alliance volunteers will be at Riverbank Petco with shelter pets available for adoption on Saturday, Sept. 2.

The Oakdale Shelter Pet Alliance is hosting a Pet Adoption Event at Petco in the Crossroads Shopping Center this Saturday, Sept. 2 from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. There will be some pets on hand ready for adoption.

Can’t afford to fix your pet? Want to prevent unplanned litters of kittens and puppies? Oakdale Shelter Pet Alliance offers spay/neuter vouchers for cats and dogs to pet owners residing in the 95367 or 95361 zip code areas. Vouchers are valid for spay/neuter services at ACT Spay Neuter Clinic in Stockton. Free shuttle service for pets is available from Oakdale and Riverbank.

To obtain cat vouchers, bring proof of residency within the 95367 or 95361 zip code area. Cat voucher prices for those who qualify as low income (must provide EBT card, permanent Medi-Cal card, or PG&E Cares Program proof) are $20 in cash for each tame cat and for feral cats in traps, $10 each. Cat voucher prices for non-low income residents are $30 for tame cats and $20 for feral cats.

For dog vouchers, you must bring proof of zip code residency, and proof of low income (EBT card, permanent Medi-Cal card, or PG&E Cares Program proof). Dog vouchers are $40 each, cash only. Vouchers for Chihuahuas, chihuahua mixes, pit bulls, or pit bull mixes do not require low income qualification. Limit three vouchers per address. You do not need to bring your pet with you to apply for a voucher. Some restrictions apply. Call Betsie Corwin at 209 543-5434 for more information.
