Annual Toys For Tots Effort Now Underway
Toy Drive

The season of giving is upon us and once again the collection of toys is needed for those that have very little. Donations of new toys are being requested for babies and children up to 12 years old.

The Toys for Tots holiday giveaway is made possible with a collaboration of the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots, RUSD/Casa del Rio, Central Valley Community Resources, Valley Improvement Projects and help from the community. They have been receiving and giving toys during the holiday season for children from birth to 12 years old for low-income families in Riverbank for several years.

Toy distribution will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cardozo Middle School cafeteria.

Register your family at Casa del Rio at 209-869-0468 or online at toysfortots.org and select Stanislaus County now through Nov. 27.

The toy pick-up and registration requirements are families must be Riverbank residents with guardianship of the child. Toys will only be released to the registered parties that must bring proof of name and address on Dec. 14.

Donations have been accepted since Nov. 4 and will continue through Dec. 13 at all Riverbank school sites and throughout the community. For specific locations contact Casa del Rio or drop toys off at the Community Toy Drive on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Riverbank SaveMart in the Crossroads Shopping Center.
