On Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3112 Walnut Lane, off Roselle Avenue in Riverbank, will be closed to through traffic from Pierce Lane to Aspen Lane. Traffic control devices will be in place. For any questions call 209-863-7127.
Also, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) reminds motorists about the improvement project that will strengthen the embankment on the west side of State Route 108 from Seventh Street to Claus Road in east Riverbank.
Because this work requires construction crews to use the westbound lane, SR-108 will be under one-way reversing traffic control with portable signals to direct westbound and eastbound traffic. Portable signals will be placed near Claus Road to the east and Seventh Street to the west, with signal timing set to maximize traffic flow and minimize delays.
Work has begun and the project is scheduled to finish in the Spring of 2021. Caltrans also will have changeable message signs in this region advertising the project and alerting motorists of the potential delays.
This $4.2 million project will be performed by Viking Construction of Rancho Cordova.
Motorists can expect 15-minute delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
