Area Volunteers Prep For Love Riverbank
Love

The Love Riverbank campaign is on the schedule for this weekend, with the effort commencing on Saturday, April 23 with a rally at the Community Center, 3600 Santa Fe Street at 8 a.m.

The initiative began with Love Modesto several years ago and afterward other cities followed suit with an intention to demonstrate kindness, meet other’s needs, and impact lives.

The husband-wife team of Mr. and Mrs. Facio will be organizing the event in Riverbank this year. Projects include Riverbank Community Garden clean-up, Cardozo Middle School beautification, work at Jacob Myers Park, the Riverbank Library, and Garden Box Building at the elementary schools.

Volunteers are also needed to help the senior citizens in the community that may need their lawns mowed or help in the yard.

They are also looking for volunteers to bake cookies for the public servants like Riverbank Police Services, Stanislaus Consolidated Fire, the post office, library, and city employees that will be delivered on Friday and Saturday morning.

People can also sign up to be a ‘floater’ which will allow them to serve at any of the projects listed.

All volunteers are asked to meet at the gathering at 8 a.m. on Saturday to connect with their project leaders prior to arriving at the project site.

People interested in volunteering can sign up for the different projects at loveriverbank.com online.

The event brings together volunteers of all ages in the dedicated work day to improve and beautify the community.
