Bank Robber Hits At Years End

Detectives with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department Riverbank Police Services are investigating a robbery that occurred in the afternoon on Monday, Dec. 30.

At about 2:50 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Delta National Bank in the 2400 block of Patterson Road in the City of Riverbank.

Witnesses stated that a white male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black baseball hat, tan or grey shorts and black shoes walked into the bank. The suspect did not wear any type of mask or attempt to conceal his face.

The suspect handed the clerk a note demanding money. The clerk gave him an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect ran out the front door, fleeing on foot. There were no injuries during the incident.

Detectives are currently working the case alongside the FBI and following up all leads, including surveillance video of the suspect provided by the bank.
